Naming Conventions for Digital Assets

 

Naming your assets wisely is an important cornerstone in running an optimized DAM solution. In this blog post we will give you a few valuable tips.

Why is naming conventions so important?

To name digital assets and folders in a consistent and logical manor is always the preferred way, but when working with large quantities of files it is a true game changer and what enables assets to quickly be located, identified and retrieved.

Correct and logical naming is also very important when publishing these assets from QBank to external channels, making sure that the viewers understand and recognize the context of a photo, product name or a person and at the same time making the assets Search Engine Optimized (SEO).

Consistency & Findability
